Andrea’s messed-up childhood with her pot-smoking activist mother and prematurely deceased junkie father, her lack of career goals, her link-ups with groan-worthy guys was far worse than anything I went through (fortunately, I had great parents and a satisfying career) but it still provoked a certain wariness (and weariness) in me. I highly recommend FIRE & ICE. He could have become nearly as rich as Frank Sinatra, his long time friend and mentor, had Frank not been so stingy and self focused. I had hoped these novels would have been more cohesive with the manga and anime, but I can see how creating a credible villain would be tough when the last villain was Madara/Kaguya *cough*lookingatyoulameBorutovillain*cough *. Through each marvelous archetypal character, we touch and remember another part of our own story. This book will not rock your world with heavy deep emotions. The story line keeps you wanting to know what happens next.
